The Tasmanian Forest Products Association (TFPA) supports Tasmania’s Forest Practices System and the Tasmanian Forest Practices Code.

The TFPA thanks all members of parliament and the legislative council who supported to pass validating legislation through the House of Assembly and the Legislative Council this week.

Resolving this highly technical administrative matter ensures that Tasmania’s well-managed, environmentally sustainable and highly regulated industry can continue to invest in Tasmania and provide employment to Tasmanians with confidence

Tasmania’s forest industry is critical in supplying high quality building products to the construction industry and fibre to make paper and cardboard products.

The uninterrupted continuation of these supply chains is critical to house Tasmanians and to support the economy.
